Our Client wished to build a house on this lovely site directly adjacent to their existing house. Earlier attempts to obtain planning approval had been unsuccessful and the Trustees of the Dulwich Estate considered the site unsuitable for development. We were successful in obtaining approval for a new house.

The design is conceived as three distinct blocks constructed with timber frames (post and beam) with a double-height glazed entrance and circulation area.  The living accommodation opens out onto a deck over the existing natural pond. A new timber and glass enclosure with a retractable roof is built over the existing swimming pool with a covered link to the main house.
